Take a moment to envisage the setting…
You’ve just got to the gym with PRE-KAGED coursing through your veins ready to victimise yourself with another one of my perverse workouts and then I ask to train with you. Amongst other things I can guarantee that you will be overcome by an inner rage to go to war and prove your worth on the gym floor against me. It’s the animal inside of you which recognizes the challenge and feels the relentless need to show it’s alpha side.
By the end you will be completely spent and the vapours steaming off your skin will testify to that, but you will have also beaten down your muscle fibres so aggressively that they will have no alternative than to grow back stronger. They will have been forced to surrender and recognize that the intensity you’re able to inflict upon them is so overwhelming that they must respond, which is where your anabolic drive comes from.
Read that back to yourself and answer this question … Isn’t that how a workout should be every time, a time where you let go of everything and leave yourself completely exposed to the wrath of cold metal? Hold nothing back; demand more of the fibers which offer resistance against the pain. Do whatever it takes to morph into the UNKAGED beast which exists within for those 60 minutes or so, do it!
There’s no guarantee you or I will ever get the opportunity to go toe to toe in the gym, but there’s no excuses for not training as if I was there . Your intensity should never be for show, when a cute chick is looking or because you want to prove yourself against another gym alpha. No, it should be present behind closed doors when there’s only your own eyes to witness the anguish. That’s real intensity and that’s when you start to become a master of the iron, when it is unconditionally present.
Intensity is a relative beast, which can only be measured against your former self. The only rule is that every week that beast grows so that the relentless torture your body faces in the gym only ever increases. If there’s a hint of regression with your intensity just know that your muscles will become like withering flowers, something I know you cannot bear the thought of.
As of today, crush every workout as if your life depends on it. Command your high threshold motor units to come to the dance with their best army of muscle fibres possible and force your body into an anabolic trance.
